PRICES

​

All prices are quoted in US dollars or in the equivalent amount in Peruvian soles, based on the applicable exchange rate, and are subject to change without prior notice. Tour package prices are per person and are based on a minimum group size of two travelers, unless otherwise specified. The rates listed for accommodation are also per person.

 

Our rates are calculated based on operational logistics, including guides, river transportation, and field staff. Amazon Discovery operates a dynamic pricing structure:

• Standard Rates: These are the published standard prices for individual or last-minute bookings.

• Group or Promotional Rates: Special discounts may apply to groups booked together from the time of their original reservation or through specific promotions offered via direct booking channels.

• Departure Guarantee: Payment of the standard rate guarantees that the tour will operate on a private or semi-private basis, regardless of whether other travelers subsequently join the group under different commercial terms.

 

CHILDREN'S DISCOUNTS

Our programs are generally not recommended for children under 10 years of age, as some activities may involve challenging conditions. However, children may be accepted if their parents acknowledge that their participation could cause delays or result in certain activities being missed.

Children aged 5 to 10 pay 50% of the adult rate and receive the standard services included in the program. Children over 10 years of age pay the full adult rate.

TOUR PROGRAMS

​

Our programs are carefully planned. However, operational circumstances may require changes to the order of activities in the itinerary or to the specified route. Although such changes are uncommon, itineraries should be considered general guidelines rather than fixed schedules.

BOOKED TOURS

​

Reservations: You can book any of our tour programs by paying a deposit equivalent to 50% of the total amount. This payment must be made through our secure online payment system, by bank transfer, or through Western Union.

 

The remaining 50% balance must be paid in cash, in US dollars (USD) or Peruvian soles (PEN), before the tour begins. Please note that payments made by credit card or digital payment platforms may be subject to additional processing fees.

 

Pricing Transparency: Once a reservation has been accepted and confirmed upon receipt of the corresponding deposit, the customer agrees to the price quoted. Amazon Discovery does not provide refunds, reimbursements, or price adjustments if the traveler encounters other customers during the trip who have received group rates, promotional rates, or discounts based on booking volume. Each service agreement is independent and is governed by the terms and conditions in effect at the time of confirmation.

CANCELLATION AND INSURANCE POLICIES — AMAZON DISCOVERY

​

- Cancellation by the customer:

• More than 30 days before the tour begins: 100% refund of the total amount paid.

• 15 to 29 days before the tour begins: 70% refund of the total amount paid.

• 7 to 14 days before the tour begins: 50% refund of the total amount paid.

• Less than 7 days before the tour begins: No refund, except in cases of duly documented force majeure, such as serious illness supported by a medical certificate or natural disasters.

• Important note: All refunds are subject to deductions for administrative expenses and bank or payment platform processing fees, typically ranging from 5% to 8%, depending on the payment method used.
   

- Cancellation by the company:

• If Amazon Discovery cancels the service for operational or safety reasons, the customer may choose between:

  • A full refund of the amount paid.

  • Rescheduling the tour for an alternative date at no additional cost.
    ​

- Customer no-show:

• No refund will be provided.
   

- Booking modifications:

• Date changes requested at least 15 days in advance are subject to availability and will not incur a penalty.

• Changes requested less than 15 days before departure may incur administrative fees.
   

AMAZON DISCOVERY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL A TOUR IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
 

1. If the traveler exhibits symptoms or has an illness that we are unable to manage safely at the lodge, and it is considered more appropriate for the traveler to remain in the city. Amazon Discovery is not responsible for providing medical care to travelers in the city if they were already experiencing symptoms before the tour began.

2. If weather conditions or environmental circumstances make the tour unsafe or impractical, including severe storms, flooding, or extremely dry conditions.

​

In such cases, a full refund will be issued within seven business days.

​

IMPORTANT

Our company is not responsible for illnesses, physical disabilities, or mental health conditions that could endanger the health or safety of the passenger or third parties during the contracted tour, or that could limit or prevent the provision of our tourism services.

​

Accordingly, the company will not accept claims for compensation or refunds based solely on the conditions described above, including situations in which the issue might not ordinarily arise under normal circumstances.

 

We ask that you inform us before booking about any such condition or limitation so that we can recommend services appropriate to your needs.

AMAZON DISCOVERY — TOUR OPERATOR TERMS AND CONDITIONS: CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

If you decide to leave the camp or lodge during your stay, you will not be entitled to a refund or claim for unused services.

​

Furthermore, if you require transportation outside the established itinerary, you will be informed that additional costs apply. You will be responsible for the extra boat transportation required for your return, currently priced at S/ 250.00.

If you decide to abandon the trip at any point during the journey, you will not be entitled to a refund or claim for unused services.

LUGGAGE

Before beginning your Amazon jungle tour, we recommend bringing only the luggage you need for the duration of your stay in the rainforest. If you are traveling with heavy luggage, please consider carrying only the essentials in a personal backpack.
