DAY ONE:
Butterflyfarm, dancing with the tribes Kukamas and Yaguas. The Amazon river and its pink dolphins.
This is our last sunrise in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. We'll head out early to birdwatch on the Yanayacu River, trying to spot as many species as possible. Upon our return, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading out for piranha fishing on the Amazon River or one of its tributaries. Who knows what other species we might catch!
We'll eat the catch of our day as part of our lunch.
We'll have lunch at the lodge, and as soon as we're done, we'll pack our bags to begin our journey back to Iquitos city
DAY TWO:
Sunrise in the tropical forest. The rubber tree trail. Night hike.
We'll wake up very early to witness the sunrise from our boat. Breakfast will be served in the lodge's dining room.
We'll take a walk along the Rubber Trail to learn about the shiringa tree, whose latex was extracted to make car tires. We'll return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, we'll enjoy a siesta before heading out for a unique visit to the San Juan de Huashalado community. Here, we can observe the lifestyle of the Amazonian people. We'll visit 'El Encanto de Rony' to see animals like sloths, toucans, macaws, caimans, turtles, and the giant anaconda. These animals are being cared for at this Rescue Center before being released back into their habitats. We'll then proceed to 'Fundo Neyser,' an open area where we can observe at least three species of monkeys.
It will be a beautiful afternoon, and we'll enjoy it with a swim in the Amazon River.
We'll return to the lodge by sunset.
After our delicious dinner, we'll head out for a night walk in the forest in search of frogs, snakes, tarantulas, and nocturnal birds.
DAY THREE:
Full nature: monkeys and sloths. Stories about the jungle.
There's no rush today. We'll wake up for breakfast. Afterward, we'll start a full-day excursion, trekking through a primary forest in search of monkeys and other animals in their natural habitat.
This will also be the perfect time to learn about the wide variety of medicinal plants found in this part of the Amazon. We'll reach the heart of the forest where we'll see a gigantic, approximately 500-year-old Lupuna tree, whose roots extend up to a 50-meter radius. We'll also learn some jungle survival techniques, looking for vines from which we can drink water.
We'll return to the lodge before sunset.
For lovers of legends, tonight after dinner, we'll gather in the hammock lounge to hear fascinating jungle stories. Get ready to learn about El Bufeo Colorado (the Pink River Dolphin), La Sirena (the Mermaid), and El Tunchi!
DAY FOUR.
Fishing for piranhas to eat as lunch.
